The Peewee Tigers traveled to Kanata this weekend. With a 4 game win streak under their belt they were confident and ready to make a run at the Championship. Friday night the Tigers jumped out to an early lead over Stittsville and never looked back, winning 14-7. Saturday morning’s game had a different tale, defending champs Seaway Surge, jumped on the Tigers early and took a lead 4-1 lead in the first inning. The Tigers never gave up and kept chipping away. The Tigers took the lead in the 5th and never looked back winning 8-6. The Saturday afternoon game had the same feel with Scarborough Stingers leading into the 4th. The Tigers clawed back into the game and took the lead in the 5th inning and final inning winning 8-7. The Tigers were 3-0 following the round robin and earned 2nd place overall. The Semi finals started Sunday morning with the Tigers facing fellow EOBA league member Whitby Chiefs. The Chiefs once again had the Tigers trailing 1-0 into the 3rd inning, when the Tigers bats plated 4 runs in the 4th inning. Tigers would hold Whitby to win 4-1. In the Finals the Tigers would face tough East York. East York took the lead in the first inning 4-0, and that would be the only lead East york would see. The Tigers exploded in the second inning and coasted to a 16-4 victory. The Tigers went 5-0 to win the Championship. The boys all battled hard and beat some tough teams to earn the victory.
